Our Story

Tonka Tides was born on a dock on the east side of Big Island.

We make what we actually wear. A soft cotton tee that holds up to salt, sun, and bonfire smoke. A sweater heavy enough for the boat, sharp enough for the Lafayette Club. A windbreaker that shrugs off whatever rolls in off the water. Hats that don't blow off in a stiff west wind.

Designed in Minnesota. Every embroidery, print, and label gets scrutinized until it's right. Nothing makes the line unless we'd wear it ourselves, sunup to sundown.

We're a small label, and we're staying close to the lake that started it. You'll find us at Fletchers or Maynards, walking around downtown Excelsior, or shopping downtown Wayzata. If you're sporting us when we spot you, we'll be sure to say hey.
